If you or a friend are struggling, Teen Lifeline is available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Teen Lifeline information is on your ID card and on our website.

Civics testing will be taking place in the Library on Friday, October 26th.  Library will be closed to non-test taking students.

The 2018 Curriculum fair will be held Wednesday, October 31st.  This is your opportunity to hear about the various courses we offer here at the Ridge.  With shortened classes that day you will rotate between 3 different classrooms in 10 minute sessions.  More information to come next week.

A representative from Colorado Christian University will be at Mountain Ridge on Tuesday, October 30th during AcaPrep to provide information about admissions, scholarships, degree programs and college life.  Make sure to get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office in order to attend.

A representative from the Avalon School of Cosmetology is coming to Ridge to give a Budget/Money planning lesson on Tuesday, October 30th during AcaPrep.  This is specifically for junior and senior students.  This is a great opportunity as you prepare for adulthood!  Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend.

Sophomores interested in being the MRHS ambassador at the HOBY State Leadership seminar this summer should pick up and application in the Counseling office.  The cost is $225.00.  Applications are due by Friday, November 16th.

Help stop polio forever. Polio attacks the nervous system causing paralysis. Just $1.00 can save two children by purchasing their vaccines. It still affects two countries. As long as it is in the world, it’s only a plane ride away. Stop by our table at lunch and make a difference in the world.

To celebrate the Food Drive going on right now StuGo has come up with a spirit week the week of October 22nd – 26th.  Each day will have a specific item to bring in and the first hour class that brings in the most each day will get a prize.  Today is “Thirsty Thursday” so bring in water and Friday is “Fiesta FriYAY” so bring in all nonperishable items.  Go Ridge!

#RidgeGivesDay is Saturday!  Be sure to sign up for the Disneyland ticket giveaway for your hours worked!

Attention all boys interested in trying out for basketball, tryouts will be next Monday and Tuesday after school.  For specific times go to the athletic website or check with Coach Lopez in room E-103.  Please make sure that you have been cleared through the Athletic office to tryout next Monday.

JV football is at home against Sandra Day.  Come out and support your team!

Winter sports tryouts begin on MONDAY.  All athletes must be cleared through the Athletic office PRIOR to tryouts.  You can pick up a physical packet in the athletic office before or after school and during lunch.  See Mrs. Wesson for questions.
