Attention all students planning to graduate in the spring, there will be a graduation meeting about ordering caps and gowns and other information held during Government and Economics classes on Friday, October 12th.  If you do not have a Government/Economics class this semester, you need to come to the Bookstore and receive a pass to attend one of these meetings.

Just a reminder that a representative from the ASU College of Nursing is presenting during AcaPrep today!

We have a Gay and Straight Alliance meeting after school on Wednesday, October 10th in room C219!  New members and old are always welcome!

A little over one week left and we are making awesome progress.  Don’t forget things such as rice and flour are inexpensive and worth a lot on the can counting guide.  So keep bringing in that food!

Students interested in hearing about NAU should attend the AcaPrep presentation on Thursday, October 11th.  You will hear about what it takes to get into NAU and scholarships they provide.  Stop by the Counseling office to get your AcaPrep pass.

Staff and students please help HOSA in the High School Heroes Organ Donor challenge.  We are competing against other schools in Arizona to sign up organ donors.  See us at lunches on 10/9, 10/11 and the volleyball game on 10/10 to help thousands of people receive lifesaving treatment and to receive a free t-shirt.

Mountain Ridge Cross Country competed in the Glendale Showcase this weekend and the girls placed 4th while the boys placed 3rd.  Several athletes ran their personal bests for the season.  Boys, Dermot Broderick, Spencer Sherwood, Jett Seguin, Carson Liu and Thomas Kim.  Girls, Taylor Mollenhour, Taylor Krasa, Olivia Malone and McKenzie Liu.

The girls badminton fell to Liberty.  Varsity players include Morgan Pearson, Jenna Dickson, Savannah Swint, Tania Do, Vedika Tripathi and Caitlin Estrada.  The Mr. Poppers team award went to Tania Do and Caitlin Estrada who won their doubles match on Senior night.

Get ready for the PINK OUT!  Dig PINK is on Wednesday, October 10th at 5:30 PM.  Be there, wear PINK, honor survivors and donate money.
