After an extensive nomination, application and interview process, the Deer Valley Education Foundation and the Deer Valley Unified School District are proud to announce the 2017-2018 Teachers of the Year and two of our teachers have been named Teacher of the Year.  Please congratulate Ms. Fleegle and Ms. Roa.

Track District Champions:  Girls - Team 1st place scoring 113 points, Jasmine Gonzales – Discus, Kylee McBride - Triple Jump, Olivia Magby - High Jump, Jaylyn Miller - Shot Put, Olivia Hansen - 100 Hurdles.  Boys - 4th place 65.5 points, Jordan Swanson - 300 Hurdles, 4x800 - Reier Gilbertson, Austin Clayton, Gavin Allen and Vivek Ravi.

Senior Interns…your online class is finished on May 4^th.  Make sure all your final employer evaluations and paperwork are all turned in by May 5^th for final grade posting!  One step closer to graduation!

Any student interested in learning more about the University of Utah is invited to attend the presentation during AcaPrep on Tuesday, April 24^th. Learn more a about campus life, admission requirements, scholarships, hoursing and more.  Get an AcaPrep paws from the Counseling office to attend.

Representatives from Grand Canyon University and the Army will be on campus Thursday, April 26^th during AcaPrep.  Each will provide information and answer any questions you have about their programs.  Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend one of these great opportunities.

Just a heads up prom tickets go on sale April 23rd! Tickets are $50 the week of the 23rd to the 27th. Tickets go up to $60 the week of the 30th to the 4th. Tickets will only be on sell until 11:00 AM that Friday. Tickets are sold the night of prom for $70 at the door. Make sure you get your tickets early to save you money! There is no couple discount.

Attention Juniors and Seniors…Are you planning on bringing a non-Ridge friend to prom?  You need to turn in a Guest Dance form.  Forms are available online.  Forms are due to the Conduct office by 3:30 PM on Wednesday, May 2^nd.  You should not buy tickets to prom until you have verified your guest has been approved.  An approved guest list will be updated and posted daily at lunch time at the Bookstore.  Please do not wait until the last minute!

Need spring cleaning for your car?  Come to the Educators Rising car wash on Saturday from 9:00 AM to Noon at KFC/Taco Bell at 67^th and Deer Valley.  You can also purchase pre-sale tickets from any members of Ed Rising or in room E-112.  See you there!

Students, just a reminder that it is against school rules for outside companies to deliver food to our campus for students.  Food deliveries will be refused.

Frosh/JV Baseball against Sandra Day O’Connor, Varsity Softball against Sandra Day O’Connor and boys Volleyball against Hamilton are at home tonight.  Come out and support your teams!
