DVUSD Governing Board Releases Statement on Naming New Superintendent
The Deer Valley Unified School District’s Governing Board President Ann Ordway read the following statement at the beginning of Tuesday’s, May 10 Board Meeting:
“After completing the interview process, we the Governing Board, have decided to continue our search for the next superintendent. Although our candidates were qualified, we were not successful in finding the perfect match for the Deer Valley Unified School District.
We have confidence in the district leadership team to continue our systems approach to continuous improvement and performance excellence schools, our unique academic initiatives, and the implementation of Year 2 of the Strategic Plan. As we continue our search, we anticipate naming an interim superintendent for the 2011-12 school year soon.”
The Governing Board will renew their search for a superintendent in the fall.
