Your school tax credit donations can provide DVUSD students with opportunities to after school and summer programs, field trips, music, theatre and athletic programs or any other extracurricular activity. The Arizona tax credit program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for married couples, filing jointly, in support of extracurricular activities. The tax credit reduces your AZ State tax dollar for dollar.

Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) will open its doors on Friday, December 31 to receive last minute tax credit contributions. Contributions will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the District Office located at 20402 North 15th Avenue in Phoenix.

Whether you have a child in school or not, you can take advantage of the credit. Everybody wins. You gain a tax credit and the school of your choice gains up to $400. If you don’t have a particular school in mind, you can make your tax credit donation directly to DVUSD. Funds contributed in this manner will be distributed to underserved schools within the district.

Keep in mind, to be eligible for an Arizona state tax credit for 2010 taxes, your contribution must be postmarked by December 31, 2010.

Payments can be made online at http://dvusd.mytechsupport.com . The link will take you to a secure site to submit your donation. Your tax credit receipt will be mailed to you.
