DVUSD Names Deb Roets as Mountain Shadows Principal

Deb Roets has been named the new principal for Mountain Shadows School, in the Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD), for the 2010-11 school year. The decision was announced at the May 11 Governing Board Meeting. Roets replaced Jim Pfeiffer who has been principal at Mountain Shadows since 2008 and is relocating to Washington State.

Roets has been with DVUSD since August of 1999 and was currently serving as the assistant principal at Las Brisas Elementary. During her eleven years with the district she has served as a fourth grade classroom teacher and assistant principal. Roets received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (1997) from Iowa State University; Master�s in Education (2003) from Northern Arizona University; and Principal Certification (2004) from University of Phoenix. DVUSD welcomes her as the official campus leader for Mountain Shadows.
