Learner Profile Trait for September

Barry Goldwater is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school.  As such we aspire to fulfill the traits embodied in the Learner Profile. Each month we will highlight and celebrate one of these traits.

The Learner Profile trait that we will focus on for the month of September is Balanced.  We understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We recognize our interdependence with other people and with the world in which we live.

The Learner Profile Quote of the Day is:  Life is a balancing act.  Stay calm and keep going!

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS TO THE BULLDOG BARK

Bird is the Word... "Repeat is Sweet" was the chant on Saturday as the Lady Birddawgs won the 2 Bird Tournament for the second year in a row. This team is the strongest Goldwater has had in years. Not a single player competing finished lower that third place in any of the six sections that were contested. The team will be challenging every day this week - including representing Goldwater at the District Tournament this Friday and Saturday. We look forward to hearing more great news from this amazing team.

Last Saturday the Swim Team competed in their first Invite in Flagstaff. The altitude didn't stop them from having some of their best swims again!  We look forward to seeing your support this Thursday at Glendale High School at 4pm!
