All thing EQ (4/11-/14): I don't complain about what I can't change. The costs of complaining are high. According to research from Standford University, complaining increases cortisol, a stress hormone responsible for heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, and strokes. What's worse is complaining can actually harm our brain and reduce our problem-solving abilities. Complaining harms our physical health and robs us of positive mental health as well. "Repeated complaining rewires your brain...Over time, you find it's easier to be negative than to be positive, regardless of what's happening around you."-Dr. Travis Bradberry
