Army ROTC National High School Scholarship: Army ROTC National High School Scholarship Opportunity. Army ROTC provides full tuition and fees (or $10K for room and board) scholarships to over 2000 high school students each year. In addition to the tuition and fees, the scholarship pays $1200 annually for books and a stipend of $420 per month (for up to 10 months a year.) Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program (JBMSHP): The Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program (JBMSHP) at Arizona State University is now accepting applications for the 2022 FREE summer program (5/30 - 7/8). The JBMSHP is intended for mature and motivated students who are interested in academic careers requiring mathematics, science, or engineering-based coursework and who are typically underrepresented in those fields of study. United States Naval Academy is offering Summer Seminar and Summer STEM programs United States Naval Academy is offering Summer Seminar and Summer STEM programs this summer. Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers an opportunity for rising high school seniors to experience the academy for one week. Pharmacy Tech 101 Sessions Pharmacy Tech 101 Sessions: Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences This program is 20 weeks in length, first 12 weeks are online with the last 8 weeks on the AZ campus. The program is also currently covered by the Mayo Clinic Workforce Development Scholarship. This means that any student admitted to the program will have their tuition covered. Theatre Club Meeting: The next theatre club meeting is held Wednesday, room 114 on the 16th of February, and auditions for Senior one-act plays are being held on Thursday the 17th. “Audition forms for Senior-One-Act plays are available with auditions being held on Thursday the 17th of January. Everyone is welcome to audition, so come support your seniors by being in their plays! The audition will be held in the mini auditorium (room 114), but follow the @bchstheatreco on Instagram and @theatrejag on remind for upcoming information on auditions.”


 

BCHS is a Closed Campus: Attention all Students, Boulder Creek is a closed campus. There is NO leaving campus without permission. Leaving campus without permission will result in serious consequences. Please read page 13 of the student handbook: CLOSED CAMPUS Boulder Creek High School is a closed campus. Students must remain on campus during lunchtime. A parent or guardian signature and photo ID are required to release a student for personal reasons during school hours.


 

Arizona Boys State Program: ATTENTION MALE JUNIORS & SENIORS! Arizona Boys State Program is hosting a week-long unique summertime educational program for high school juniors and seniors that focuses on participation and personal experience in a model state, complete with governmental bodies and elected public officials. •The seminar will be held June 5th – 11th at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.•The cost is $150 per boy (The cost is refunded after participation)•Interested students must pick up and complete a student nomination application from the counseling office or go to https://www.dvusd.org/Page/62429. Blood Drive: Give the gift of life and sign up for the blood drive on March 10 located in the Aux Gym from 6:30 to 11:30 am. Contact julie.leovic@dvusd.org. The deadline to sign-up is March 4th.


 

Hallways during lunches: Attention all students: During Lunch, you are not to be in the hallways eating or hanging out, bathrooms are located near the cafeteria, during lunches.


 

TedEd club meetings: TedEd Club meets every Thursday in Mr. Donovan’s room in the 600 building and we have an upcoming fundraiser at Barros on the 24th of February.


 

BC Student Choreography Concert: Boulder Creek Dancers have been working hard to create their own dances for the BC stage! Come check them out at the BC Student Choreography Concert on Thursday, February 24th at 7 pm. This is a concert composed entirely of dances created by BC dancers! Tickets are $5 cash or check at the door! Come support your favorite dancer!


 

HOBY (Youth Leadership Organization): Calling all Sophomores! HOBY (Youth Leadership Organization) is hosting a 4-day leadership seminar for our current sophomores June 2nd – 5th, 2022 at the ASU West Campus. This program provides students with unique leadership training, service-learning, and motivation-building experiences. College Visits: Hello Jaguars, We have three colleges coming to visit, 2 are NOT during Flex Time. Central College on 2/23 during 3rd period. Central College offers majors in Business, Visual and Performing Arts, Technical Education, and more! If you would like to attend this visit please check your school email and fill out the google doc so we know you are interested. Ottawa University during lunch on 2/24, stop by the Ottawa table at lunchtime. Ottawa will be back on March 3rd during Flex Time to go over in more detail what Ottawa has to offer you. You can sign up now on flex time manager. Coconino Community College will be here on 3/2 during the 3rd period. Coconino offers a program that supports you in making a smooth transition to NAU. If you would like to attend this visit please check your school email and fill out the google doc so we know you are interested. Please know we can only accommodate 30 students in each session offered.
