Army ROTC National High School Scholarship: Army ROTC National High School Scholarship Opportunity. Army ROTC provides full tuition and fees (or $10K for room and board) scholarships to over 2000 high school students each year. In addition to the tuition and fees, the scholarship pays $1200 annually for books and a stipend of $420 per month (for up to 10 months a year.) Dual Enrollment Spring Registration: Dual Enrollment Spring registration has begun! Please remind students that haven’t registered that the deadline is February 14th, 2022. Students can now enroll online through their student center at www.my.maricopa.edu, they can call 480.517.8080, or email (lucero.curiel@riosalado.edu) or text (480.517.8782). Students that request enrollment via email or text need to include their MEID and section numbers.

School Parking: The Library parking lot is NOT open for parking. You MUST have a parking sticker that designates Library Parking to park there. You will be ticketed for parking on campus in the wrong spot and /or illegally parking without a decal. Tickets are fines that must be paid.


 

ASVAB-CEP Testing: ASVAB-CEP Testing: Are you a Senior or Junior? Are you interested in identifying your career strengths and receiving an inventory assessment and feedback? Are you interested in the possibility of joining the military after high school? If you said “YES” to one of the above questions, consider taking the ASVAB-CEP Test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery-Career Exploration Program) on Wednesday, Feb. 9th from 7:30 am-noon in the main auditorium. HOBY (Youth Leadership Organization): Calling all Sophomores! HOBY (Youth Leadership Organization) is hosting a 4-day leadership seminar for our current sophomores June 2nd – 5th, 2022 at the ASU West Campus. This program provides students with unique leadership training, service-learning, and motivation-building experiences. League of Legends: Do you play League of Legends? Did you know that BC is forming an official League of Legends esports team? Any students interested in playing in the Spring Season of League of Legends are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 18th, after school in room 330. If you are interested, but unable to attend the meeting, please contact Coach Phillips.


 

Theatre Club Meeting: The next theatre club meeting is held Wednesday, room 114 on the 12th of December (this Wednesday), and that audition for “Don’t Drink The Water” is being held on Thursday the 13th. “Audition forms for “Don’t Drink The Water” are available with auditions being held on Thursday the 13th of January. For the audition, you need two contrasting monologues that add up to 2 minutes. Good luck to all who audition and break a leg!” “Drama club is being held this Wednesday, so don’t miss it!”

Mario Kart or Super Bros Ultimate: Do you play Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros Ultimate? Did you know that BC is forming official esports teams for these Switch titles? Any students interested in playing in the Spring Season of Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros Ultimate are invited to attend an informational meeting this Thursday, January 13th, after school in room 330. If you are interested, but unable to attend the meeting, please contact Coach Phillips


 

Interested in Softball: Softball is planning on having their pre-season meeting on Tuesday, January 18th at 2:30 in room 533.


 

Dance Club: Students, are you interested in joining Dance Club? If so, come to our meeting on Thursday, January 20th, 2:15-3:15 pm in the dance studio (room 130). All levels are welcome and no prior training is required. At our meeting Officers will teach a Contemporary combination and meetings are tentatively planned for every other Thursday. We will have a new style each week. Come dance with us!
