The Perry Initiative: DEADLINE EXTENDED: Perry Outreach Program- Phoenix, AZ November 20 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm MST UPDATE: The application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, October 27, 2021. We are pleased to announce a Perry Outreach Program in Phoenix, AZ, which will take place at the Mayo Clinic on November 20, 2021. Institutional COVID-19 protocols will be observed at the time of the program. Per Mayo Clinic policy, participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate. Masks required. We will be holding our POP event for high school students in the Phoenix area. Students, who gender-identify as female or nonbinary, in grades 10 and up interested in exploring careers in orthopedics or engineering are encouraged to apply. In addition to six hands-on “mock surgical” exercises, participants will hear lectures from local women surgeons and engineers. We are accepting online applications at https://perryinitiative.org/pop-application/ for this event until the application deadline of October 20, 2021.
PVCC visit: Paradise Valley Community College will be here to visit with Juniors and Seniors on December 2, during flex time. You will receive information on all PVCC has to offer incoming students and receive help filling out an application. Space will be limited so be sure to go on FlexTime Manager anytime between now and November 30th and sign up for, College Visit-PVCC.
Winter Guard Team: Can you dance? Are you interested in learning new skills like flag and rifle? Winter Guard might be right for you! Our competitive winter guard team is looking to add new members for our upcoming season. Interested students should attend a brief informational meeting after school on Thursday, Nov 18th in room 401. Dance experience is encouraged by not required. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Eng.
University of Oregon On December 9th during Flex time the University of Oregon admission representative will be holding a virtual session in the JAG Center. The session is open to junior and senior students. Please keep in mind we can open the session to a small group of students so signing up early will be important. Our representative will discuss college admissions, scholarships, financial aid and have time for questions. You can ask questions about dorm life, clubs, sports, food, or academic programs just to name a few. You can sign up on Flextime Manager under College Visit-University of Oregon.

Winter Dance Concert: That time of the year that everyone looks forward to is finally here! It’s the Winter Dance Concert! Come see 150 of your closest friends perform all styles of dance on the BCHS stage! Shows are Wednesday, December 1st, Thursday, December 2nd, and Friday, December 3rd at 7 pm. Tickets go on sale online on November 28th. Find the QR code on our fliers or purchase through Ms. Shane's BCHS website. Tickets are $12 presale and you can choose your own seats or $14 at the door with seat assignments given to you. Checks and cash only at the door, please. And now we are offering limited $5 student seating with a current BCHS ID only for the Wednesday show. Student tickets will only be sold at the door, not online, and are limited in quantity. Come support your local dancer and be prepared to be entertained! We hope to see you there.
West-MEC first fall festival: Northwest Campus will also be hosting our FIRST Fall Festival. We'd like to invite you AND your students to come to check out the campus. We will be having a car/bike/UTV show, food trucks, games, events, and more. We'd love to see you all there, Saturday, November 20th from 12-6 pm
West-MEC Open House: It is a BIG week on the Northwest Campus! On Wednesday, November 17th, from 6-7 pm Northwest Campus will have its 2nd and FINAL OPEN HOUSE! Please encourage your students to attend if they have an interest in one of our programs. Remind them to sign in with our QR code when they arrive. Students to stop by to engage in fun, hands-on activities/demonstrations with our instructors and current students. Attention Seniors! NOVEMBER 20th is the FINAL day for senior portraits. As of now, 283 seniors will NOT be in the yearbook. To make sure your picture is included in the yearbook, seniors MUST be photographed at Grads Photography. Please make an appointment at gradsphotography.com. It can be a "simple" session and it's free! You can use your own senior photographer later...but to be in the portrait section of your Senior Yearbook, please use Grads Photography before November 20th. Thanks!
