All Things EQ for week of 2/10-2/14: Find purpose in the things you do every day. This week, we want students thinking about how everything we do has a reason. We brush our teeth to keep them clean. We do homework to get good grades. We sleep to feel rested. When we stop paying attention to the purpose or reason, we do things; we may begin to feel as if life is an endless chore. “Activity without purpose is the drain of your life.”-Anthony Robbins It can be easy to let the day pass us by, believing that our only purpose is to get through the day. However, what if our goal, or purpose was to make the most of our day instead? What if we could enjoy our day, rather than endure it? Helen Keller said, “Lean forward into your life. Begin each day as if it were on purpose.” A teacher's purpose is clear - to make a positive difference in the lives of their students.
